The YCEEP Program is an 8-week experience designed to show youth what’s possible—and help them get there. Through career exploration, entrepreneurship training, and exposure to real-world role models, YCEEP helps young people discover their potential and build a future they can believe in. Many of our participants start out thinking success is out of reach. But when they meet guest speakers who come from similar backgrounds and are now thriving in business, advocacy, tech, or creative fields, everything changes. They realize success isn’t just for “other people”—it’s for them, too. YCEEP provides hands-on workshops, weekly support, stipends, and a structured pathway forward so each youth leaves with tools, confidence, and a clear next step toward a brighter future.
Through YCEEP, youth are introduced to doctors and healthcare professionals who share their personal journeys—from growing up in challenged communities to becoming leaders in medicine. These speakers show that the healthcare field isn’t just for the privileged—it’s a real, achievable path for anyone willing to put in the work. From mental health to physical wellness, youth learn how important their presence in these fields can be, and how to begin the journey through education, certifications, internships, and mentorship.
We expose youth to the full spectrum of opportunities in construction and skilled trades—including carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, heavy equipment operation, and general contracting. Our program helps youth understand that these careers are not only essential and in high demand, but also offer pathways to entrepreneurship, union benefits, and financial independence. Youth see how mastering a trade can lead to owning a business, employing others, and building a legacy—literally and figuratively.
Our team of Lawyers as volunteer speakers explain what it takes to go from student to lawyer—or even judge—and how to use the legal system to fight for change. Many youth may be inspired to use their voice, turn past experiences into power, and pursue careers in law, public policy, or criminal justice reform. We help them map out the academic and professional steps needed to get there.
Barbering is more than just cutting hair—it’s an art, a business, and a powerful way to connect with the community. Through YCEEP, youth get the chance to explore this creative and in-demand field hands-on. They learn about the tools, techniques, and styles that define modern barbering, while also gaining insight into customer service, branding, and shop ownership. We bring in licensed barbers and shop owners who share their stories—from cutting hair in their basement to running successful businesses. Youth leave inspired, knowing that with a license, skill, and hustle, they can build a career where they're not just working a job—they're building a brand, creating a vibe, and making money doing what they love.
